Recruitment of General Practitioner Locums is ongoing. The Murray-Plains Division operates a GP Locum Booking service for its members. Doctors with Victorian and/or NSW medical registration wishing to undertake Locums with Divisional Practices are invited to apply for listing with the service by completing a Locum Profile and returning it to Sally May. For more information about the operation of the service and to obtain the relevant forms, please contact Sally May, Workforce Facilitator.
International Medical Graduates (IMG) seeking employment in Australia should forward a detailed CV or Resume to Sally May, the Workforce Facilitator.
If you have not previously been registered to work in Australia as a Doctor it is advisable to check Australian Medical Council requirements first.
If you are seeking work as a General Practitioner in the Division there are a number of employment schemes administered in each state. Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) and NSW Rural Doctors Network provide pathways to employment in Divisional Practices.
Doctors wishing to gain Vocational Registration as a General Practitioner may be employed in training posts at Divisional practices in conjunction with the Regional Training Provider Victoria Felix. For more information about these Divisional Practices please contact the Murray Plains Division.
