Murray-Plains Division of General Practice (MPDGP) has developed a Consumer Engagement Strategy which enables community members to provide input and local perspectives into the planning and provision of support to General Practitioner services in our region.
MPDGP utilises the services of community volunteers to act as a Consumer Reference Panel member for their location. The Consumer Reference Panel members meet on a quarterly basis to discuss issues and information generated within their local community and develop recommendations and suggestions to the MPDGP Board of Management.
The Consumer Reference Panel is chaired by the MPDGP Board of Management Health Services Consumer, Ms Wendy Sizer, and the location of each meeting is rotated throughout our region. Consumer Reference Panel members receive remuneration for their time and travel expenses associated with their participation in the Consumer Engagement Strategy.
If you would like any more information on the MPDGP Consumer Engagement Strategy, or would like to nominate someone or volunteer to fill a vacancy as a Consumer Reference Panel member for your area, please contact Matt Jones, Chief Executive Officer on 03 5481 1300.
